Thaniel Fox

Thaniel Fox is a seventeen-year-old wych-hunter. His father, Jedriah Fox, had been considered to be the best in his field until his death, when Thaniel was eleven. Thaniel learned his trade from his father , then from Cathaline Bennett after his father died. Thaniel has worked since the age of fourteen. Blond and blue-eyed, he resembles his deceased mother, Chiana Roseleaf Fox, who had been murdered in a graveyard.

At the beginning of the novel Thaniel lives in the house he inherited, along with friend and coworker Cathaline. He is busy but unfulfilled, because his life is totally taken up with his work. When a young woman who doesn't remember her past, Alaizabel Cray, enters his life, she awakens feelings he didn't know he had. As Thaniel and his friends battle wych-kin, unravel Alaizabel's mysterious past, and battle the Fraternity, Thaniel and Alaizabel fall in love.
