Summary

In Chapter 16, Laurel has given birth to her child. Laurel and Larry named the baby Charlotte. Laurel finds herself deeply fulfilled by her innate love for her daughter. Daphne loves Charlotte too and is happy for Laurel, but Daphne does also fell a little jealousy, as well as some worry that Charlotte’s presence will take away from Daphne and Laurel’s relationship. Daphne’s article for Vogue had been successful and well-received, and now she is writing even more for DownTown. In Chapter 17, Daphne asks Laurel if she will return to teaching after having given birth to Charlotte, but Laurel wishes to remain home and take care of Charlotte. Daphne still generally disagrees with that choice. Daphne asks Mr. Gravit to talk to Laurel, and while Gravit recognizes that Laurel is valuable as a teacher, he respects her decision to be a stay-at-home...
