Summary

In Chapter 13, Laurel continues to date Larry, and they eventually become engaged. Larry’s parents throw a large engagement party for them. The party is in Larry’s parents’ large house, which is located in a wealthy Connecticut suburb called Greenwich. Daphne attends the party as well. Daphne ponders the idea of marriage. She has had several short relationships but has not fallen in love with anyone yet. Larry’s mother, Beverly, sets Daphne up on a date with a man she knows named Steven. Steven and Daphne become engaged very quickly. However, Daphne soon realizes that she does not love Steven, and that an odd amount of Steven’s interest in her seems to be due to the fact that she is a twin.
