Ellie

Ellie is the story's narrator and main character. When the story opens she is 11 years old and hates change, yet she's in a traditional period in her life. She has just finished elementary school and is now entering middle school. Elementary school was comfortable to her. Everyone knew everyone else. But middle school is a new place with new people. And, she can't even go through this time with the support of her best friend, Brianna, because she has found her passion and it doesn't include Ellie.
