Summary

Chapter 13

Sully goes to the local library. He wants to do some research and without a computer of his own, and not wanting to use the one at the newspaper, the library is the only logical place to go. He meets the very young and very punked out librarian named Liz. She doesn’t buy the ‘1-800-Heaven’ ordeal, either, she says.

Meanwhile, across town, Katherine cries alone in her bed. She hasn’t been to work, the people on her lawn are creepy, and the people at the town meeting had swarmed her as if she were a holy relic. How did things get so out of control? Her private blessing is a circus, she thinks. Her phone rings.

Tess gets ready to meet the Catholic Bishop. She models her very conservative dress for Samantha who is sitting at her kitchen table...
