Summary

The Pilot follows the inner thoughts of the anxious Leonard, a writer trying to make it in L.A. Leonard was anxious that he had not heard back from Kate Lotvelt, the successful writer of a TV show, Death in the Family. Kate had invited him in a group email to her party two weeks ago and he had responded with what he now considered to be a long winded email. He regretted not just sending a quick response. Due to the lack of reply, Leonard now worried that Kate had accidentally invited him by hitting “All Contacts” (Location 634).
