Summary

Chapter 31, "In The Thing That Shall Not Be Named," Rosemary confesses that despite her persistent efforts to keep herself looking attractive, her husband has been unwilling to have sex for many years. She has not given up on trying to rekindle the old amorous spark, though, but her husband will not even discuss the matter. She decides to go all-out one night and wear the most revealing and provocative clothing she has not worn for decades, perfuming her body and dancing a salacious burlesque for her husband before turning out the lights and climbing into bed. Despite her best efforts, her husband remained un-aroused and they both went to sleep. Karen Lundgren suggests getting a personal massage tool, which repulses Rosemary until a chorus of friends force her to concerned that everybody self-pleasures.
