Summary

In Chapter 2, “Jess,” Jess was assigned to watch over Lyra during the Thursday night party. While Jess was in Kyra’s cabin, she stole 21 high-potency sleeping pills from the singer’s stash.

Jess napped on the couch as she was waiting for Kyra to return. She dreamed that she was six years old in the back of her parents’ car. In the dream, she kept trying to warn her parents what was about to happen.

In “Nikki,” Annie offered a toast to Kurt Cox, a film producer, whose birthday was being celebrated at the party. Kurt was the son of an actress. His father, Ron Cox, had been a film producer. Nikki was shocked when she learned that Kurt’s birthday was October 25 because it was a date she would never forget.
