Chapter 15 Summary

When George picks Carrie up for their date, he compliments her bag. She suggests they go to the same restaurant that Sebastian took her to the previous night. They talk about what life living in New York City is like on the way to the restaurant. The hostess greets Carrie by name, as if she knows her. Carrie finds herself telling George all about applying and getting rejected from the writing program. When Carrie is about to confess that she has a boyfriend, the hostess says she has a phone call. It's Missy telling Carrie that Dorrit has been arrested and is at the police station.

When George and Carrie arrive at the police station, Mr. Bradshaw is sitting next to the mother of Dorrit's accomplice, Cheryl. The girls stole gum. Apparently, it is Dorrit's third offense and the police let her go...
