Summary

Part III is titled Butterfly. In Chapter 38, Sarah appears for the first time. She is in the basement of the house and is careful about every move because she feels Wesley is always watching. She talks to Little Self, an alter identity who lives in Sarah's armpit and comes out when Sarah is alone, sitting on Sarah's hand while they talk. Sarah calls on Little Self and points out the girl Wesley has outside. Little Self shakes her head in despair. Little Self urges Sarah to try to escape, but Sarah is waiting for her Big Sister. Sarah cowers in fear when Wesley enters.
