Summary

In Chapter 10, Khai slept deeply even though Esme was in bed with him. When he woke in the morning, she was gone. He was afraid at first that she had left him but then horrified when he saw the door to the garage open. He was certain Esme was going to die.

Esme was excited when she found the motorcycle in the garage and went right away to the Asian grocery store to buy things to cook for Khai. She was on her way home when Khai pulled up beside her in his car. He ordered her to stop the bike and get off of it. Esme wondered why he was so angry as he lifted her off the bike and ordered her to stay away from it. After he took her home, he left on foot. Esme assumed he was going back...
