Summary

Part 2 is titled Book of Spells. In Chapter I, Vincent is in France, wondering if Franny would still be able to recognize him. Vincent considers whether his family can forgive him for “abandoning them” (118). Franny, Sally, and Gillian have arrived in France for Vincent’s help in finding Kylie. Agnes, Vincent’s friend, chides Sally about avoiding left-hand magic, but it would never be a temptation for Sally. Franny tells Vincent that he “missed a lot” (122) and Vincent counters with “I had a lot” (122). Vincent uses an atlas and an amulet before declaring that Kylie is in London. Sally, Gillian, Franny, and Vincent travel to London.
