Summary

Part II: The Road From Damascus continues as Mazna learns that Idris has a fever and Sara offers to take Mazna shopping. Sara asks about Idris and Mazna, but Mazna says they are just friends. She changes the subject to Zakaria’s mother and Sara says she practically raised her. They see two men fighting and Sara warns that these arguments sometimes have a gun. When Sara asks if Mazna wants to go meet her friend, Mazna says she wants to walk around. She goes to the bakery where Zakaria is alone. They talk about the war and Mazna tells him about her grandfather and then how all of her plans have fallen through. She asks to see where Zakaria lives. Mazna kisses him and gets angry when he says he cannot do...
