Summary

"At the Clinic - Waiting": In first person narration, Jacob continues to describe his visit to the mental health clinic to Doc, describing how nervous and apprehensive he is about hearing Satan again, his first visit having left Jacob in the St. Francis psychiatric hospital for three days. At one point, Jacob’s cell phone goes off, its ring the sound of a church bell. As Satan teases him, Jacob tells Doc that the text was from Odette, and because Doc never knew her, he describes how they met (shortly after Doc’s death, Odette needed a place to live and he needed some company), and that Odette was texting because he had asked her if she might be able to look after Behemoth for a few days if he decided to go on a mini-vacation.
