Summary

In Chapter 1, 32-year-old Travis Devine catches the 6:20 train from the suburb of Mount Kisco to Manhattan every morning. He would prefer to be wearing jeans or a military uniform, but he is wearing an off-the-rack suit with a rumpled white shirt. As always, he is carrying an encrypted laptop with two screens for his job at Cowl and Comely. He had once faced enemies like the Taliban, but he is now pitted against his coworkers.
