Summary

In “Eight Months Later,” Piet, one of the falconers, told Rufus that he believed eagles could be used to defend against hostile drones. To help train the eagles now at the ranch, Rufus built practice drones and designed gauntlets to protect the eagles’ feet from the rotors.
