Summary

In Chapter 31, after Riley is dismissed from the hospital they sequester themself in their room. When Solo comes to visit he tells Riley that he has not seen or heard from Bec. Riley gets the idea that even though Bec has disappeared before, there is something different about this disappearance.

Riley eats with their parents one night and asks why their father is not busy with his campaign. They pretend the troubles that their father is having with his campaign is not Riley’s fault. Riley’s father tells Riley that they need to talk to the detectives about the assault. Riley turns the tables on their father when they tell him that if he is going to push Riley to not give up on getting the people who assaulted her charged, Riley is going to push him to continue with his campaign...
