Summary

Chapter 31

Lanier’s investigator finds a woman who sued Seth Hubbard for sexual harassment and won an out of court settlement. This woman is black. Ian finally convinces Herschel to fire his lawyer and join Ian’s. Simeon Lang is served with divorce papers.

Chapter 32

Jake learns that Herschel fired his lawyer and that Lettie has gotten a job. Portia also tells him that she thinks she has found someone who can give them information on the Ford County Rinds. Harry Rex promises to get a settlement from the insurance company for Jake and Carla so they can buy Willie Traynor’s house.
