Chapters 9-13 Summary

In chapter 9, Elvis stops at a phone booth and begins calling the people on his list, hoping to knock some of them out before Lucy arrives so that he can spend quality time with her. However, no one seems to be home. Elvis meets with a man who believes he saw the murder when he was taken up in a spaceship by aliens. Elvis interviews several more obvious quacks before hanging it up for the day. Elvis goes to the airport to meet Lucy and her son Ben's plane. Elvis takes his guests to his house, shows them around and feeds them dinner. After Ben falls asleep, Lucy sneaks up to Elvis's bedroom.

In chapter 10, Jodi Taylor, an actress and friend of Lucy and Elvis', comes to take Ben to her set with her for the day. Elvis then takes Lucy...
