Harry Dresden

Harry Dresden is the main character in the novel Summer Knight by Jim Butcher. Dresden is a recurring character in a series of novels by Butcher. In Summer Knight, Harry is despondent over the loss of his girlfriend, Susan Rodriguez, to the Red Court, or vampires. Dresden has been spending all of his time alone in his basement laboratory, trying to find some way to save Susan, as he feels responsible for the "infection" by the vampires. His friends are concerned, and they try to help, which leads Harry to become involved with Mab, the Winter Queen and the battle that will take place in the novel for power between Summer and Winter.
