Nicholas Walker spent most of his life as a spy and has been doing it for so long that he is bored. He is a Vrizhongilian - alien to this planet and is no longer even sure if his mission or even headquarters still exists. With increasing technology such as internet and television, his job has become easier and easier over the years and he continues to maintain the four directives that are his mission - stay at the last position reported to headquarters; maintain discretion and secrecy; chronicle the people and their society; and wait for retrieval.
