Mallon The Guru and Catch and Release Summary

Spencer Mallon spends four months in India, traveling with his spiritual leader, Urdang. After three months, they are granted an audience with a great holy man but as they reach the village, a crow falls out of the sky and lands, dead at their feet. Villagers crowd around them and lead them to a hut where a young boy lies ailing. They want Mallon to touch the boy and as soon as he does, the father is beside himself with gratitude though Mallon has no idea what they think he has done.
