Summary

The driver cannot take them any closer and apologizes when he stops the bus. They pay him with a few coins and he lets them out. The migrants walk up a hill to a motel and the coyote gets them one room to share. They are quiet and exhausted, and Javier thinks about what the migrants may do once their journey concludes. He wonders what he is going to do with his own life and considers being a chef.
