Chapter 13, Unwin Toys; Chapter 14, The Liberian Star Summary

In Chapter 13 Alex and Ash arrive in Jakarta, Indonesia, where they are met by two men at the airport. The men bring them to a van that takes them to an Unwin Toys warehouse containing other refugees waiting to be brought to their ships. A group of soldiers known as Kopassus, the Indonesian version of Special Forces, raid the warehouse. A shootout ensues, and one of the soldiers throws a grenade. Ash and Alex barely make it to the van alive as it positions to escape the warehouse area. Unknown to the driver, they jump aboard, and once the driver realizes he has two refugee passengers in the back, he speeds to the freight loading docks and abandons the van. Three men at the docks argue with Ash using mostly gestures...
