Chapter 21 Summary

The discussions and planning continue over Wyvern's Court, as Valene returns and cannot believe they are planning a united city. She is pleasantly surprised and thinks she is dreaming because she had already fallen asleep from her long trip back and forth from the avian island. Valene reports that she spoke to the empress who said she would consider what Valene said. As they tuck Valene into bed, a dancer approaches and asks to speak to Zane and Danica. As they enter a private room, the magic ripples away and the dancer is Syfka.

Syfka says she has brought Kel and Rei back to them. After Syfka leaves, Zane and Danica find a battered and tired Kel, along with a sleeping Rei.
