Summary

Chapter 3 is titled Oink Oink, 1997. Sally Timms is a college student who is attending a meeting of the Paranormal Society. A boy named Alan Hardwick, who calls himself Axel, is upset that so few members of the group have attended. One of those is Todd Cosgrove, a math major who is the vice president of the club.

The group is meeting at The Fox and the Hounds, the pub just around the corner from Slade Alley. Angelica Gibbons, another of the members, suggests that those not totally committed to the club didn't attend because it's off campus. A senior philosophy major named Lance Arnott suggests that a group got lost on the way. The sixth and final member of those present is Fern Penhaligon, a freshman who is attending the meetings to do research for a drama performance.
