Summary
Skippy is sent for counseling with Father Foley, which results in a largely unproductive, one-sided conversation about puberty and why Skippy should join rugby. Father Foley tells Skippy that if his grades do not improve, Skippy may be expelled from Seabrook. Father Foley encourages Skippy to volunteer with Father Foley's charity work as a means of re-engaging.
Skippy volunteers with Father Green, who fights off his lustful feelings towards Skippy.
Skippy continues to skip swim practice, to the anger of his teammates. Skippy's dad calls him, saying that Coach Roche told that Skippy was skipping practice. Skippy's father tells Skippy that he told the Coach, against Skippy's wishes, about his mother, who has cancer. Skippy's father tells him that he will not be able to come to the upcoming swim meet.
Janine and Carl have been sleeping together. Carl does not care...
