Chapters 15 through 26 Summary

In chapter fifteen, Sam initially goes to bed on the floor near Grace's bed, but she invites him onto the bed where it's warmer. He has explained by now that the cold makes him change into a wolf. There is no pretense that he's not a werewolf but he's confused because Grace was also bitten. He says she should have changed into a wolf as well. She says she sometimes wishes she had and he says he wishes it also.

In chapter sixteen, Sam goes to a shed deep in the woods where the wolves keep clothing, food and a heater for when they've shifted back to their human forms. There he encounters Shelby, the white she-wolf, and he knows she can detect Grace's scent. He also encounters Paul, the pack's leader. Sam returns to Grace's house and they connect immediately...
