Chapters Four through Six Summary

Trish Mission shows off her engagement ring and the others are amazed at the size of the diamond. Trish says that her finance hadn't paid anything for the ring, which is true because the ring her finance bought her was much smaller. When Trish had shown that engagement ring to her father, he'd taken her to Tiffany's though it meant waking a manager in the middle of the night. Her father had then demanded the largest ring in the store and had written a check for more than a million dollars while warning Trish's boyfriend, Steve, that he should never go shopping "in a Cracker Jack box" for Trish.
