Chapter 2 - Exploring the Bernhardt School Summary

In Chapter 2, Trisha takes Dawn through the busy sidewalks and streets of New York to a luncheonette two blocks from Agnes' home. Trisha continues to ask Dawn about her past but Dawn tells her she's not really comfortable talking about it yet. Dawn learns that Trisha is an only child whose father spoils her. Dawn is saddened because she thinks of how she may never know her father.

After they finish their ice cream sodas, Trisha takes Dawn to the school. Dawn is surprised how beautiful the school and its grounds are. Trisha introduces Dawn to one of the teachers.
