Kingshead Woods, Sawkill Rock, North Atlantic, Modern Day

The Kingshead Woods are named for the Kingshead mansion, the home of the island's wealthiest family. They hold the site—the "circle of stones"—where the Collector broke into this world from another dimension (133). He is bound to the Kingshead Woods, and once Val breaks the connection, bound only to the stones. There, he consumes his prey. He veils them from the sight of others, except for Val and her mother.
