Deanna “Dee” Colclough

Deanna “Dee” Colclough is the mother of Na and Cole, and the wife of Jack. She is a doctor. Dee had been intending to leave her husband for her lover, Kiernan, at the beginning of the novel. Because Kiernan told her that he could not control the urge to hurt her, Dee went back to her family.

Dee is very emotional and often becomes overwhelmed by her emotions and her fear that she and her family will be killed. As she sees that Jack has the ability to take care of his family even in the wilderness, Dee falls back in love with him. When she sees him being drug into the eighteen-wheeler with no idea where he is being taken, Dee is overcome with her despair.

Despite her emotionality, Dee manages to keep herself and her children alive. She finds Jack near the Davidson Building...
