Chase Ambrose

Chase Ambrose is a school bully who experiences amnesia and has the chance to change his whole life. He is a star football player on the Hiawassee Hurricanes. He took his team to state for the only time in the team’s history, aside from the year his father did the same. Chase craves his father’s attention and approval so deeply that the feeling persists even when amnesia wipes everything else away from his memory. Chase allows his success in football to define him and gets sucked into the toxic masculinity prevalent throughout the team, which encourages violence both on and off the field as a way to prove strength and manliness. He bullies “nerdy” students because he thinks it is funny and even terrorizes his half sister, ripping her teddy bear apart in front of her while she cries.
