Summary and Analysis For Chapters 19-24 Summary

In Chapter 19, Matt notices that school seems different. He is used to being the humble hero in the school-ever popular and helping those who were more prone to be bullied. Now, he feels much smaller, as if he is the prey. Sarah calls out to him in the cafeteria, but he ignores her. Pete mentions that Chris is going to miss practice because he has to go to a doctor in the city. Practice goes poorly, and coach Mac ends it early, signaling for Matt to come to his office. The reporter is outside the office, and Coach Mac tells him that he is to busy to answer questions.
