Summary

In Chapter 11, Trinity pushes Melody (in her wheelchair) to the kitchen for a slushy. Melody hates that someone has to feed her. She watches as kids begin to arrive. Some have one adult with them, and some have lots of family members. Some are in wheelchairs or using crutches. Most look wary. Melody takes an opportunity to look at Trinity closer. She has twisted box braids that Melody knows must have taken hours. She has elaborate makeup. Melody knows Diane has never considered that Melody is beginning to be interested in makeup. Melody knows Trinity is trying to reassure her by saying she will be with Melody every minute. They return to the cabin and Trinity talks more about the camp.
