The House on the Hill

The House on the Hill is the primary setting of the novel. The house is situated on Masha and Senderovsky's land in the North East countryside. The couple owns not only the house, but the surrounding property and all of the bungalows situated on it. At the start of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Senderovsky excitedly invites his closest friends to come and stay with them. He gives Ed, Vinod, the Actor, Karen, and Dee each their own cottage. In the evenings, the friends gather together in the House on the Hill, or on its porch, to have dinner and talk.
