Chapter 18 Summary

The Avrils continue to tell their side of the story, speaking separately now, but with one picking up where the other left off. They planted the scalpel for Deena. Dallas asks which one of them actually killed Icove Jr., but they claim to be 'one'. They are the same. Dallas asks about the Academy's second generation, but Will Junior asked his father that the Avrils not be included in it, so they weren't. Dallas wants to know where Deena is, and the Avrils know. Aware that time is short, Dallas interviews most of the night and finally takes the Avrils back to their house with monitoring bracelets. They are confined to their home for now.
