Chapters 5 and 6 Summary

Roarke takes half of the discs from Icove's Senior's office into his own leaving Dallas in her office with the other half. The disc she looks at covers three years of medical history, but includes cognitive exams, intelligence quotients, puzzle solving skills, artistic and musical talents, and more. At the end a notation cites that treatment is complete and placement successful. The patient is referred to by letters and numbers - called A -1 on all documents. She looks at five more discs and finds more of the same - all ending with treatment 'completed' or 'terminated'. Dallas wonders about the placement segment. Roarke comes in and they compare notes, agreeing that Dr. Icove was working with lab rats of some kind, and that the notes they have are his reference notes, not his actual charts.
