Ruby tries out for the school play, Pygmalion, even though she didn't think she would and is surprised that she did. When she arrives home she has a message from Ray. He misses her and wants her to call him as soon as she can. He needs to talk to her about Thanksgiving. Ruby is thrilled to hear from him and can't believe he will be there in a week. She calls him back, but the line is busy. The phone rings. Ruby expects it to be Ray, but it is Lizzie. Lizzie is crying. Ruby immediately thinks she is going to tell her that Ray and Amber are together. However, Lizzie tells her it is she who is now with Ray. Ruby is shattered and hangs up the phone.
