Summary

The story begins with nine-year-old Roselyn helping her adoptive mother, Misa, in the kitchen. She is introduced as a diligent but emotionally burdened child, haunted by nightmares of the fire that killed her parents. Misa asks Roselyn if she would ever return to her birth family. Roselyn reflects on her noble upbringing. However, she cherishes her new life, grateful to Salathiel and Gaven for rescuing her and the kindness Misa has given her. Salathiel enters the kitchen and invites her on a hunting trip. Eager to bond with her adoptive brothers, Roselyn agrees to join them.
