Chapters 48-52 Summary

Odd drives aimlessly through town, drinking caffeine and swallowing caffeine pills to stay awake. Eventually, Odd finds himself at Fungus Man's house. Odd searches the house more thoroughly than he did before. Odd finds a set of knives with words written on them in Latin. Odd also finds a pyx or communion box filled with black crackers with red flecks. Odd slowly begins to realize that these things are the required equipment for a Satan worshiper. As Odd is looking through these things, he hears a strange knocking. Odd is spooked. However, before he leaves, he decides to look in the refrigerator because he told Stormy he would. In the freezer, Odd finds several containers that hold various body parts, clearly labeled with the names of each victim. Odd tries to decide what he should do next. Suddenly a crash comes...
