Summary

Chapter 20 continues with Alex’s fight at Tara’s apartment. Alex thinks about killing Len, Betcha, and Ariel, and how she is not sorry. Alex does not like thinking about Hellie’s death, but recalling the memory, she reaches out to North and wills him to enter her body. North resists but somehow Alex forces him in. She grabs a golf putt and crushes the man’s hands, going for his knees next. Before she can hit him again, the man vanishes through the floor and reappears through the wall, smacking her in the head. Alex falls to ground. At that moment, Turner shows up with a gun, and the man vanishes into the wall.
