Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 Summary

In chapter eleven, Arthur queries the advice center to find a place to live that resembles Earth. He cannot rely on the Guide anymore, which is why he makes this inquiry. His options are grim, but then he finds Bartledan. He travels to the planet Bartledan. Bartledan has beings who closely resemble humans and Bartledan has oxygen. However, on the planet, the beings cannot hold a conversation because they do not know how to do so. The beings do not breathe either. They have a simple life of playing netball and reading their famous literature, which is really about nothing. Arthur grows frustrated with Bartledan. He remembers his crash from a year ago. He crashed in a forest. The spaceship crash caused a raging fire. Arthur was the sole survivor. He somehow knew back then that he would survive...
