Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 Summary

In chapter seven, Arthur Dent, the main character of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, is on NowWhat, a planet that is depressing, cold and rainy. Everyone on there is unhappy. There is no reason to live there. Arthur is there to help find his way back to Earth. He uses the Guide to help him travel through the Galaxy. NowWhat is filled with NowWhattian boghogs, or creatures that bite at thighs. A year ago there was an accident in space. Arthur's longtime love, Fenchurch, disappeared into thin air. He has not seen her since. Things sometimes happen in space, and that is why Arthur thinks Fenchurch disappeared. At the hotel, a boghog attacks the bellhop, but Arthur hits it with a stick.
