Summary

Chapter 9 is titled “Kyle Lake, the Only Child.” Aaron goes to visit Mr. and Mrs. Lake at their apartment in a nearby neighborhood. Aaron can tell their living situation has not improved. They told Kyle that Me-Crazy beat him up while living at the Leonardo complex, which discourages him from returning there where something might remind him of Kenneth. No one in the old neighborhood knew where the Lakes moved to, and Aaron had to have special permission from Evangeline to visit. Aaron immediately notices that nothing of Kenneth's remains.
