Summary

The next section is not titled. The first chapter of this section is titled “This Time Around.” Aaron wakes after Me-Crazy threw him through the door. He is at the Leteo Institute. Aaron feels Leteo made a mistake. He also realizes that there was not an “off switch” to eliminate his sexual preference. He accepts that “Leteo didn't have the power we both hoped they did” (211). He tries to sleep to avoid reality. He wakes to find Evangeline sleeping in a chair in his hospital room and Elsie praying at his bedside. Aaron was moved from the hospital after they were sure he had remembered everything. Evangeline makes it clear Aaron is not allowed much time alone. When he sees his battered face in the mirror, he punches it and Evangeline makes a new rule that he is not allowed to...
