Part 2: Chapters 12-30 Summary

Chapter 12: Max, Fang and Nudge begin the journey to the school. They fly at 90 miles per hour with the hope of adding another 20 mph if they get a good tail wind. Nudge asks what to do if they should get separated. It is decided that the group will reconvene at the northmost point of Lake Mead.

Max thinks about the location of the School: "Could the School be located in a more perfect place? Death Valley. Above the Badwater Basin. Like, when we got there, we'd see a road paved with good intentions and have to cross the river Styx to get in." Chap. 12, p. 40
