Chicago is the most populous city in the state of Illinois. Beginning at age 18, Lucy left her hometown of Haverford to study music in Chicago under the tutelage of Professor Paul Auerbach. At age 20, Lucy meets Clement Sebastian in Chicago, and they soon fall in love. After Sebastian’s tragic death, Lucy returns to her hometown of Haverford, but she soon longs to return to the exciting urban life of Chicago.
