Summary

In Chapter 13, when Adam found out that Anh expected Olive would be staying in the room with him during the conference, he suggested that she share his room. He pointed out that Anh would notice if she was staying in an Airbnb miles away. Adam assured her that his room was a double. He also explained he would only be staying in the room the first night of the conference because he would be going to meetings elsewhere for the rest of the week. Olive agreed to stay with him.

Olive told Adam that her abstract had been chosen as a talk. Adam told her that when he was a third-year student his advisor sent him to a faculty symposium in his place. He told Adam two days before the speech and gave him only a title, no slides, or any other information...
