Summary

Section four begins with a sentimental email from Bram to Simon on January 22nd. After spending the majority of the winter holiday together, the boyfriends once again head back to their respective schools to begin their second semester. Bram states that parting ways feels like a "tactical error" that could have somehow been avoided (80). He then recalls a fond moment at their New Year's party in which their friend, Nick, declared a touching revelation. Nick explained that when one wishes to "freeze time," what they really want is to be able to "control [their] memories" (82). Now that Simon is on a plane, Bram contemplates which moment in time with Simon he would freeze, if possible.
